Meet Our Executive Team


Group Chief Executive Officer

Donald joined Amino as a non-executive director in April 2010, becoming COO in September of the same year and subsequently CEO in December 2011. Previously, he was Senior VP, Asia Pacific, for DHL Supply Chain, the world’s leading logistics company. Donald has held numerous senior positions with Fujitsu, BG Group and Celestica. He is an engineering graduate from the University of Strathclyde and commenced his career in manufacturing and logistics with ICL. He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Chain (MCIPS).


Chief Technology Officer

Mark is a veteran and a true pioneer of IP video services and personal TV applications. Having launched many industry first’s, he is not shy about taking a leading role when it comes to innovation. Before co-founding Entone, Mark was GM and Lead Architect of the world’s first interactive TV and VOD services at Cable & Wireless Hongkong Telecom (now PCCW). Prior to C&W HKT, he consulted for several multinational communications providers, including Bell Atlantic Video Services. Mark also launched the world’s first personal TV services at TV Answer.

Mark Carlisle

Group Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer

Mark joined Amino in August 2016 and has significant experience in the leadership of public company finance teams. Previously, Mark was Chief Financial Officer at Crossrider Plc where he formed a key part of the team which successfully raised $75 million as part of its IPO on AIM in September 2014. Prior to Crossrider, he served as Chief Financial Officer of FFastFill plc, a provider of technology solutions to the financial derivatives trading industry. In addition, Mark has ten years of audit experience, gained within the Technology Media and Telecommunications practice of Deloitte, where he served from 2000 to 2010.


Global Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing

Jamie joined Amino in April 2017 and has more than 20 years’ experience in the telecoms, media and technology sector. He joined Amino from ADB Global where he was SVP of Sales, Marketing and Business Development. Prior to that, Jamie held senior sales and marketing roles at PayWizard, Orbital Software Group and O2 (Telefonica). He graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and has an MBA from The University of Edinburgh.


SVP Engineering and Development

Mike joined Amino in March 1999 and has lead the engineering team to design and develop different generations of software and devices. He has significant experience in digital TV services, video delivery platforms, conditional access/digital rights management and various in-home networking technologies. Prior to Amino, he was a consultant at Accenture and over the years has assisted operators in Hong Kong and Shanghai to plan and deploy digital TV services. Mike is a graduate of the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a major in Computer Science.

Bonnie Johansen

Global Head of HR

Bonnie joined Amino in March 2018 and has extensive experience in all aspects of people management, educational matters and legislation, in the public and private sectors, nationally & internationally for over 25 years. Bonnie is a registered mentor and coach and lead HR auditor. She served on the Accreditation and Advisory Board of two prominent universities in South Africa in the departments of Human Resource Management & Development and Industrial Psychology. Bonnie is a member of the Professional Association of Assessors and chaired the South African Board for People Practices (WC) Human Resource Management Committee for the past 4 years. Bonnie is an active member of CIPD UK and is currently studying an Advanced Award in Employment Law through them.

Jonathan McKee

VP Product Management & Customer Support

Jonathan joined Amino in February 2017 as Head of Pre-Sales Engineering, becoming Director of Product Management in February 2019 and extending his role later that year with responsibility for global Customer Support. He has been in the digital TV services industry since 2005, principally leading pre-sales engineering teams in Conditional Access, Middleware and Set-top box businesses but also spending some time in Product Management roles. Prior to this he worked in British Telecom and a consultancy to the telecoms industry with roles in architecture and design of Billing and pricing systems. Jonathan is a graduate of Queen’s University Belfast and has a Masters degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
